User Accounts

Your D-ITET Unix account is valid throughout your studies at the department. With this account you also get access to your eMail at ITET and to your personal homepage.

After finishing your studies you can request by eMail to have your account extended by 6 months.

Some account settings can be done with the D-ITET Control Center . for example change your password.

Unix Workstations

ETZ D 61.1, ETZ D 61.2, ETZ D 96

You should have received your username/password during registration. If not or if you have forgotten your password, please come by our office and bring your student id.

Don't share your password with anybody and don't write it down. Nobody at ETH is authorized to ask you for your password.

Staff account

As an employee of EE you can request an account for the Unix workstations by E-Mail. Please send us your firstname, lastname, lab, phone, eMail, the username you'd prefer and uid and gid of your account at your lab (you get the latter with the command id).

Guest Access

As a guest you can request an account for our Unix and Macintosh workstations. Just come by our office.
