This course enables you to work efficiently on Unix-like operating systems. You will learn how to use command line tools like ls, sed, awk, grep, du, df or sort to do various kinds of tasks. The course will contain some excercises where you can deepen what you have learned. Furthermore, you will get to know the revision control system Subversion.

In order to acquire the PPS credit point, you will have to make a short presentation. The subjects will be assigned during the course.
